Understanding how society has adjusted to its growth plays a large factor in becoming aware of things we need to do to balance out the negatives and increase the positives for our health to be optimal, 100% of the time.

On one end of the scale it’s easy to be aware of bad things which happen to our food supply, but another to act upon it. I’m sure the majority of people are aware that most chickens are locked up in a cage while they get fed drugs to enhance their growth rate so they can be sold and served up on a plate as soon as possible. I’m sure the majority of people will cringe when they find out this is happening to the food we will end up eating, yet when it comes onto the plate be less concerned.

There are consequences when being ignorant to the knowledge we have locked away in the back of our brains but the consequences may well come back to haunt us.

We live in a world where society is changing everyday and with the consistent increase in air pollution, food and water pollution, excessive processing of foods, flavorings and colorings enhancing foods taste, preservatives added for the convenience of longer storage, pesticides and herbicides reducing the nutritional intensity of our fruits and vegetables, chlorinated water and radiation, being just some things that we are now facing in society, it is a reason we need to make sure our nutrition is up to par.

It’s not only the chemical additives our foods now seem to be full off; even baby food once contained large amounts of salt, sugars and monosodium glutamate, especially in the pureed vegetable baby food, apparently the added chemicals made vegetables more acceptable and palatable for babies along with making a more profitable business for the companies. But cooking, microwaving or eating canned food will nearly kill every nutrient those foods contain and will compromise, denatured and/or destroyed the micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc) and macronutrients (protein, fats and carbohydrates).

If we lived in a perfect world, with perfect balanced diets and our foods where grown/raised and prepared without any chemicals, I believe we wouldn’t need to find ways of obtaining specific food sources to keep our bodies functioning in a healthy manner. This doesn’t always mean you need to supplement by taking a pill, because what you generally find in a pill can be found in natures whole food forms. But what it does mean is that we need to make sure we find those food sources that contribute to that specific area of our nutrition and health, and consume it. I’m sure most people, if diagnosed with a severe illness will be happy to take many non-nutritive medications, but will rebel and avoid taking as many nutritive supplements or a food source to help prevent illness and disease before it sets in.

There are four things I’m aware of and believe in which need to be done to both cure and prevent disease.

  1. Provide the body with all the substances it needs
  2. Keep the lymphatic system and fluid moving
  3. Keep the blood clean
  4. Be happy

Good nutrition, a good exercise regime, correct supplementation and a happy emotional environment externally and internally, will cover all those four things.

Providing the body with all the substances it needs could result in a very long list, as well as vary greatly among every individual and their current health and lifestyle status. What we should all keep in mind is that every body requires the same needs to stay healthy; Probiotics and good bacteria are one of the things essential for all human health.
